Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions taps Seán “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin as a producer for their Bloodborne Animated Movie

For all the cries for a modern port of Bloodborne, the best Sony can do is offer up a full length animated feature. Revealed at Sony Pictures’ Cinemacon presentation, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions has tapped Lyrical Animation to work on the animated film with content creator Seán “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin as a producer.

McLoughlin’s inclusion in an interesting one as one would assume someone from FromSoftware would be handling this. However JackSepticEye has clocked in plenty of hours in the title and the content he’s generated has been viewed by “48 million online fans”. You could be skeptical, but at the same time his fellow content creator Mark Edward “Markiplier” Fischbach has seen great success with his work on the film adaptation of Iron Lung (Which ironically does feature McLoughlin in a role), so there’s a possibility that this animated film can follow in those footsteps.

Hopefully as 2026 progresses we will get a first glimpse at this project.

Bloodborne and it’s DLC The Old Hunters is available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
