Capcom shows off Ingrid gameplay, as this mysterious entity closes out Street Fighter 6’s 3rd year on May 28th

Aside from Psycho Power and the Satui no Hado, the Street Fighter series has been relatively grounded in reality…as long as you accept the reality the men can project fire balls from their palms. Now the Street Fighter universe is gonna get a little bit more strange as the mysterious entity known as Ingrid looks to close out Street Fighter 6’s 3rd year.

This isn’t her first appearance in a fighting game (you can thank Capcom Fighting Evolution for that), but this time around her moveset is tied to the solar entity at the center of our universe. Like characters such as Manon, Ingrid can increase her effectiveness in combat by generating and using Sun Crests. If you want to mess with your opponent’s mind, use Vanishing Sun to close the distance or back off. Frankly I’d explain more, but it seems Capcom released a news post on Steam which the character itself does their own introduction. She might not have made the best first impression on the Capcom faithful, but her second coming is certainly hitting the spot with me.

Ingrid will be available to players who have purchased the Year 3 Character or Year 3 Ultimate Pass. However Ultimate Pass Owners will also get Ingrid’s Outfit 2, which if you knew of the character’s existence, you should be very familiar with this look!

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.
