Better go fast as these official Sanic (Yes, Sanic!) shirts are only available today!

Look, I don’t like reporting on April Fools Day because everyone’s marketing/social media department think they’re god’s gift to comedy, but there will be some things that will even crack  my stone heart and cause me to smile. One such initiative is the one SEGA is taking in which they will be selling official merch of “Sanic Hegehog” and friends, a meme which originated from a youtube “instructional drawing” video.

Teaming up with DPI Merch, the SEGA shop for one singular day will sell 3 exclusive t-shirts featuring Sanic, Knackles and Whoa…is that Shedew?!? Each design mirrors an iconic piece of Sonic the Hedgehog imagery (Covers of Sonic Adventure, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic Adventure 2). I’m not gonna lie, it’s great to see the company lean into this long running internet meme and while the “creator” of Sanic has long passed, it’s nice to know their contribution to internet culture will not be forgotten.
