Over Royal Rumble weekend, 2K and WWE released the unrelenting WWE 2K26 Gameplay Trailer. The trailer opens with a shot of WWE 2K26 Standard Edition cover Superstar, “The Best in the World” CM Punk, making his way down the ramp toward the ring, followed by shots of an array of current and nostalgic WWE Superstars, including Triple H, Rhea Ripley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Stephanie Vaquer, Undertaker, Kane, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Eddie Guerrero, Logan Paul, Iyo Sky, and many more. His cover star status revealed on Friday, current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is one of the most celebrated and subversive personas in WWE history, who previously appeared on the cover of WWE ‘13 and also headlines WWE 2K26’s 2K Showcase. The trailer also reveals a sneak peek at a new, throwback version of CM Punk, sporting long, bleached hair and baggy shorts, a look familiar to fans who followed his career prior to his WWE debut, as he battles a modern version of himself.

The Gameplay Trailer also offers a first look at two of the four all-new match types, Inferno and Dumpster matches, along with expansive new brawl environments, core gameplay advancements, including barricade combat, and new offensive tools, such as shopping carts, stacked tables and thumbtacks, designed to inflict devastating damage to opponents.

WWE 2K26 features four editions of the game: Standard Edition, King of Kings Edition, Attitude Era Edition, and Monday Night War Edition.
