Rejoice jiggle physics fans, as Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is coming to PS5

Looks like today’s Sony PlayStation State of Play Program had a little bounce in its step as Koei Tecmo revealed that the definitive edition of Dead or Alive 6, dubbed Dead or Alive 6: Last Round is coming to the PlayStation 5.

The paid version of Last Round will feature the game’s 24 characters as well as 5 of the game’s DLC characters. This version will also sport a Photo mode so you can capture the action at any angle of your choosing. Owners of DOA 6: Last Round on the PS4 will be able to carry over their progress and microtransaction purchases. For those who are intrigued by the franchise, but don’t want to necessarily commit to a purchase, the game will also offer a Free to Play version which has only a fraction of the characters and modes available.

However that was not the only news that was revealed about this pioneering 3D fighting franchise. In a teaser which featured Ryu Hyabusa facing off against a blue clad Kunoichi (we all know it’s Kasumi…who are we kidding), we learned that a new title in the franchise will be developed just in time for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. So somewhere in heaven, Tomonobu Itagaki is smiling knowing his daughters will get another opportunity in the spotlight.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is coming to PlayStation 6 on June 25th 2026.
