2K and NFL teaming up for new “non-simulation” football game experiences

Good news NFL and 2K Sports fans, the game sydio and football league have signed an agreement for new football videogames! The maybe not-so-good news, the license gives 2K the rights to produce “non-simulation football game experiences”, meaning something like NFL 2K2X, which could compete with Madden NFL, won’t be happening under these terms.

Many details for projects have not been announced, but sounds like we may be getting more arcade-style titles, which actually isn’t a bad thing at all if done correctly. The first games, platforms not yet revealed, may be available to launch in 2021 potentially.
