Puyo Puyo Champions dropping onto consoles, PC next month

Sega today confirmed that the competitive Puyo Puyo Champions title is coming to all relevant gaming platforms in the very near future.

So what makes Puyo Puyo Champions special? While it’s not quite Tetris 99, it does fill the void for those looking for competitive online mulitplayer Puyo Puyo action. There’s local vs tournament play too for up to 8 players. The game include 2 rulesets (Puyo Puyo 2 (Tsu) and Puyo Puyo Fever), a replay system, updated HD visuals and dual audio. It’ll also only set players back $9.99 when it launches on digital storefronts on May 7th, 2019.
