Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour smashes download record on PS4

Capcom recently announced that since they surprise-launched the the Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour on the PlayStation Store during the PlayStation E3 press conference, the demo has been downloaded over 2 million times, worldwide, in the first week of release.

Apparently, that’s a record of some sort, especially since it’s only available for PlayStation Plus members at the moment. If you have yet to experience the confusing new Resident Evil experience, check it out here.

Capcom today confirmed that the Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour demo is now the most downloaded single-player demo on PS4 in the first seven days of release for North America. In addition, the demo, which is currently only available for PlayStation Plus subscribers, has reached over 2 million downloads worldwide.

We would like to thank all our fans for the feedback and support ? the nail-biting exploration and terrifying atmosphere in the demo is just a taste of what can be expected when the game releases on January 24, 2017.
