Xbox Project Scorpio launching Holiday 2017

Project-ScorpioProject-ScorpioAs we were sorta expecting, Microsoft today announced the Xbox One S, but also the next iteration of Xbox hardware they have dubbed “Project Scorpio” (yes, we heard about this many moons ago).

The monster Xbox gaming hardware will be forward and backwards compatible, feature 6 teraflops of GPU performance, 4K gaming and some VR capabilities. It will co-exist with the current XBox One and XBox One S hardware and be fully compatible with existing accessories. The hardware is scheduled for a Holiday 2017 release at this time, and Microsoft has not yet pinned a price on the new Xbox

Project Scorpio. Coming Holiday 2017, Project Scorpio will be the most powerful console ever created, with 6 teraflops of GPU delivering a premier console gaming experience including true 4K gaming and high fidelity virtual reality. Project Scorpio will join the Xbox One family and coexist alongside Xbox One and Xbox One S and all of your Xbox One games and accessories are compatible.
