Mirror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta goes live next week

We’re not quite sure why game “demos” have been replaced with “betas”, but if it means we can still get our hands on games like Mirror’s Edge Catalyst a bit earlier than launch day, then we’re not complaining.

In this case, the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta will offer not only some story and side missions to check out, but also optional content and “Social Play” features which are highlighted in the new Dev Diary below.

The frontrunner beta registration has ended, but EA has yet to send out confirmation to those who have been selected… so be patient and make sure to keep an eye on your inbox for confirmation (or not).  The MIrror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta will run from April 22nd to April 26th.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Developer Diary – Social Play:

Connecting and challenging players, the Social Play of Mirror?s Edge Catalyst will appeal to both novice and pro Runners. Learn about creating your own Time Trials, the challenging Dashes designed by DICE, and placing Beat Location Emitters in the city of Glass for your friends to find.

Mirror?s Edge Catalyst will be available on May 26th, 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on Origin for PC.
