Twitch to allow live co-streaming of The Game Awards, PlayStation Experience 2015

twitch logotwitch logoTwitch is still the go-to destination for nearly all of the videogame community’s livestreaming needs, so it’s not a surprise that they’ve partnered with The Game Awards 2015 and PlayStation Experience 2015 to allow the community to “co-stream” content from the respective live events.

What this means is that the feeds can be rebroadcast live, or captured and edited, and republished by all Twitch broadcasters.  This will be a temporary occurrence, so make sure to take advantage of it during the week that they make it available.

See the official announcement here, or read on for the details.

Two great gaming industry events go live this week on Twitch: The Game Awards 2015 and PlayStation Experience 2015.

We?re excited to announce how to watch these events on Twitch, but equally excited to announce to our broadcasters and community that we are bringing back ?co-streaming!?

What?s co-streaming you ask?
Co-streaming allows all Twitch broadcasters the rights to capture and use content from these events directly on their own channels! To co-stream, set your ?game? to either The Game Awards 2015 or PlayStation Experience 2015, so that you?re categorized properly. Otherwise, you?re good to go!

Yes, you read that correctly. All Twitch broadcasters have our official blessing to capture content (this week only) from The Game Awards (twitch.tv/thegameawards) and PlayStation Experience (twitch.tv/playstation) for use on their own channels. This could be a simple rebroadcast session with your fans and community, or you can even provide your own commentary on top of the broadcast.

About The Game Awards 2015:
Gaming?s biggest night returns to Twitch! Don?t miss performances by CHVRCHES, deadmau5, and more at The Game Awards 2015. You can catch all the action live on Twitch Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 PM Pacific.

About PlayStation Experience 2015:
Watch the official feed from PlayStation Experience live on Twitch this weekend, running from 10:00 AM ? 10:00 PM Pacific Saturday, December 5th and from 10:00 AM ? 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 6th. Things kick off on Saturday with the PlayStation Experience Keynote presentation, so make sure to tune in and catch the announcements, reveals, and more.
