Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s President, has passed away

Nintendo this evening announced that President Satoru Iwata has passed away. The sad and shocking news was announced by the company a short time ago via their official corporate site.

Mr. Iwata was 55 years old and will certainly be missed by all.

Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto will continue to serve as the company’s Representative Directors and Senior Managing Directors at this time.
