Dragon Quest Heroes for PS4 coming to North America, Europe this year

Take that all you naysayers who doubted Square Enix would ever release Dragon Quest Heroes outside of Japan.

This morning, on the eve of the Japanese release, the company officially revealed that the PS4 version of DQH will indeed be headed to North America and Europe sometime in 2015. Taking the Dragon Quest universe and mashing it up with Dynasty Warriors/Musou style gameplay, and then wrapping it up in an action RPG package complete with Akira Toriyama designs sounds pretty amazing. So needless to say, we’re excited.

Ahead of the official Japanese launch this week, SQUARE ENIX, Inc.today announced the highly anticipated DRAGON QUEST HEROESTM will be coming to North America in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system. This will arrive in the form of a full-scale action RPG for the first time in the DRAGON QUEST series.

In DRAGON QUEST HEROES, players must rise up against insurmountable odds, challenging swarms of enemies and conquering gigantic monsters. DRAGON QUEST HEROES comes to the PlayStation 4 system in beautiful high-definition graphics, filled with characters and monsters designed by world-renowned artist Akira Toriyama.

Both Yuji Horii, director and creator of DRAGON QUEST, and Koichi Sugiyama, the composer closely tied to the series since its first instalment and creator of countless memorable musical masterpieces, are closely involved in bringing this title to life. Furthermore, ?-Force (Omega Force) from KOEI TECMO GAMES – the team that has created numerous popular action game series – is also taking part in its development.

DRAGON QUEST HEROES is a title not only for DRAGON QUEST series fans, but also for gamers of all interests to enjoy.

DRAGON QUEST HEROES will be available for $59.99 later this year at North American retailers and the Square Enix Online Store (https://store.na.square-enix.com/product/282618/). Starting today, players can preorder the game at the Square Enix Online Store.
