Games with Gold, Deals with Gold for Xbox One launching in June

As you may or may not have seen in the big Kinect-less Xbox One announcement, the Xbox One is getting both Games with Gold and Deals with Gold programs for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.  Wish your Gold membership was more PlayStation Plus-like? Well this is basically that.

Xbox One owners who are Gold members will get some deep discounts (up to 50 – 75%) on games and content as part of Deals with Gold.  Discounts on Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome are already slated for June.

Free games will be coming too as part of the Xbox One’s subscription-based Games with Gold program.  This differs from the Xbox 360 program since the free games you get will only remain active for as long as your Xbox Live Gold membership is active.  Exactly the way it works with Sony’s successful PlayStation Plus program.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault will be the first set of Games with Gold Xbox One freebies scheduled to go live in June.
