Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition creeping to retail on May 16th

Minecraft is a juggernaut on any platform it is released for.

The PS3 version has topped 1.5 million downloads (at $20 a pop) already, and with over 12 million copies/downloads, the Xbox 360 version has been on fire since it was released via XBLA and later on at retail.

The Xbox 360 Edition is consistently in the top 20 best sellers list at Amazon (#14 right now), so it was inevitable that Mojang, 4J and Sony would also want a retail version of the PS3 Edition.

So, it’s coming on May 16th and will include everything up to and including TU14.
