The Best Games We Played in 2013

BRIAN PETERSON

Grand Theft Auto V (PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
This Game of the year goes way above and beyond anyone’s expectations. Great story, great action, insanely deep, and is an amazing improvement on an already great franchise.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
This new innovation into the MGS franchise takes the hack and slash genre to a new level with pinpoint accurate hacking mechanics that have never been utilized before in this genre.

MLB 13: The Show (PS3, PS Vita – 2013)
It’s an improvement on the best baseball franchise ever, nuf said!

NBA 2K14 (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One – 2013)
Played on Xbox One, and even some early online server issues can not keep this from being one of the “wow this is next gen” titles of the system launches.

Ryse: Son of Rome (Xbox One – 2013)
While it may get repetitive it is hard to knock the games story as well as its amazing visuals to wrap up as one impressive launch title and a showcase for what gamers can expect from the next generation of games.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (PC, PS3, PS4,, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, DS, 3DS – 2013)
Taking what was already a new benchmark in story telling from Lego Batman 2, and raising the bar even higher to make this the best Lego title to date.

Bioshock Infinite (PC, OSX, PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
This title takes the series to the air and once again wows gamers with ambitious game play not yet seen in the action genre. Toss in another fantastic story that blends characters and emotions that will not be forgotten by gamers anytime soon.

Tomb Raider (PC, PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
Lara is back and this reboot takes the taste out of of the mouth if the previous haters and makes this storied franchise spoken on the lips of gamers once more in a good way.

The Last of Us (PS3 – 2013)
Naughty Dogs stray away from Drake and the gang proves to be a success showing they still know how to blend gripping storytelling to an amazing game.

Forza Motorsport 5 (Xbox One – 2013)
It’s fast, it’s furious, and it’s a showcase for your new Xbox One that while lacking in the amount of cars and tracks, more than makes for it in visuals, game play, and thanks to Cloud tech, makes traditional AI a thing of the past.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360 – 2013)
The MK team makes up for MK vs DC in a big way with this deep and smart fighter.

Dead Space 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
It’s creepy, it’s gory, and it’s another hit by Visceral Games that proves this series isn’t dead by a long shot.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 (PS3, Xbox 360 – 2013)
The last Tiger Woods title is a triumph in all ways shape and form. It is the perfect last hoorah for the last generation and makes waiting for the Next incarnation in the series that much more difficult.
