Bayonetta 2 kicks into action with this new E3 trailer [UPDATE: Screens]

Bayonetta 2 you guys! Still coming to Wii U, but in 2014, this new trailer shown during the Nintendo Direct this morning looks like everything you could possibly want in a follow-up to one of the best action games of the past decade. You’ll notice that Bayonetta sports a new, shorter ‘do this time around, but that doesn’t seem to impact her hair-weapon, demon-slaying skills in the slightest.

This marks the first time we’ve seen actual in-game footage on display, and the result looks fantastic with plenty of wild environments and fights on display from the get-go. Another hard wait for another Platinum Games title, but all the time being spent with this one certainly looks like time well spent.

Check out the brand new trailer embedded below.

UPDATE: New screens.
