It’s actually kind of surprising that there hasn’t been a new console game based on the Family Guy franchise since the PS2 and Xbox game released by 2K Games back in 2006. It’s been a hit on Fox for a while now (after being canceled and then uncanceled), and still has more meme and pop culture reference per episode than pretty much any other show out there. It’s a perfect fit!
So Activision and Fox are teaming up to bring Peter and the family back in Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse for presumably the PS3 and Xbox 360 for now. There is no word on a release date or if the game will be a downloadable title or retail release at this point.
All we have is the logo so far and some information and a Facebook page link, so stay tuned for more details.
