The revolution continues on unabated as NACON reveals a new premium PlayStation 5 controller

We’ve had the privilege of getting hands on with various NACON high end controllers in the past and our opinions of their products are extremely positive. So when the French game publisher and accessory maker announced its latest high end controller I certainly had to give the announcement a good look at, it seems following in the footsteps of its Xbox brethren, the PlayStation Revolution Series is finally getting an “Unlimited” upgrade.

For those who don’t follow, one of the biggest upgrades from its “Pro” sibling is the inclusion of a LCD screen which gives end users a visual component to adjusting the controller’s settings. The PlayStation Revolution Unlimited (R5U) also takes advantage of new technology for its analog sticks, specifically TMR joysticks which offer frictionless motion which will reduce the possibility of drift, while enhancing accuracy. The controller also includes a slew of physical modifications such as joystick heads, d-pad faces, weights, and stick travel rings. For those looking for a place to store the controller when not in use, the R5U also offers a charging dock, a first for a NACON PlayStation controller.

Despite its name referencing PlayStation, the R5U is also usable on PC, Android, iOS and Smart TVs and can connect using 3 methods (Wired, Wireless via Dongle, Wireless via Bluetooth) making it a versatile controller for those who possess multiple gaming devices.

The Revolution 5 Unlimited is available for pre-order on the NACON Gaming Website and is set to ship starting October 21st, 2026
