Virtua Fighter fans finally have some morsels to munch on as SEGA and RGG studios released a new trailer featuring a fighter utilizing Northern Praying Mantis (Tourou-ken). This cocky, rich scion has introduced himself by posing the viewer this question “…you know what happens when you give a kid everything?”.
We then transition to a scene in which he fights with the game’s protagonist, Cielo and completely demolishes the scrappy brawler. When he is done, he declares that he has “earned his victory” giving us the notion that he has a chip on his shoulder about being given everything he has in life. Then we learn the young man’s name, Lionel Rafale. Between his fighting style and last name, many would assume this is the series regular Lion Rafale, but if that’s the case why go with Lionel. So until we know who Lionel truly is, all we know is there will be a Tourou-ken user in the next numbered entry in this ground breaking 3D fighting franchise.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads will be releasing in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
