Sex Bob-omb blasts onto Scott Pilgrim EX!

Fans of Scott Pilgrim vs the World have always clamored for another adventure set in the fantastical city of Toronto crafted by Brian Lee O’Malley and these cries were certainly answered when Tribute Games released Scott Pilgrim EX. The game was a fantastic follow up to one of the best licensed beat’em ups of all time, but there was a section of the playerbase that were disappointed that some of the playable characters from the original title ended up riding the bench in the sequel.

Well Tribute Games, always eager to please have finally made it up to those who felt some sort of ways about the previous exclusion, as Stephen Stills, Kim Pine and Knives Chau will be able to travel the streets of Toronto to save themselves in Scott Pilgrim EX’s Back in the Band DLC.

The trio of playable characters and their exclusive support characters can be added to the game at the cost of $3.99. If you’re wondering why Stephen is in a suit and Kim is in a maid’s outfit, that’s because the trio joining the fight are actually the characters from an alternate universe (But then…why does Knives look normal? Don’t think too much into it)!

If you’re one of those folks who are adamant against purchasing DLC, Tribute also have something for you, specifically the Co-Op Chaos title update. This free update will add a more traditional arcade mode to the game…meaning no more running back and forth and doing quests, you’re just going through the streets of Toronto, cracking heads, earning lives and chasing high scores. This update will also enable cross play, so you can finally enjoy the game with your friends even if they’re not on the platform you’re on.

If you or your friends don’t own the title yet, the game will see a 20% discount from now until September 9th. So if you haven’t picked up Scott Pilgrim EX now is the best time to do so.
