Pokémon Pokopia amasses 5 million units sold as the game continues to grow

They might have a blank look on his face, but it seems 5 million players love the amorphous Pokémon who has been tasked to rebuild society in Pokémon Pokopia. The Nintendo published and Omega Force developed cozy life-simulator revealed that within 5 months of release the title has sold over 5 million units and there’s plenty more for the “peculiar Ditto” to do in the upcoming months.

First a free software update opens up exploration underwater which sets up the first of the game’s three pieces of paid DLC. Bubbly Basin will offer a brand new town with more to do and Pokémon friends to meet. The 2nd DLC will offer more accessories to customize your character and looks to release later this year. The final DLC will add one more town for you to explore, but surely this will include more furniture to build and Pokémon to meet. Players can expect this to arrive sometime in 2027. All three DLC are part of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass which is available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop.

Pokémon Pokopia is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
