Double dose of Jackbox fun arriving this fall

Maybe it’s just because I’ve played every game in the series, but for me, the true sign of fall is the arrival of the Jackbox Games Party Pack. Like clockwork — except for that year where they tried to get a little racy — the leaves start changing colour, and we get a whole new pack of party games to play.

This year, however, we’re actually getting a pair of Jackbox games — and one of them is technically arriving in the summer!

Jackbox announced today that we’ll still have the customary October release of Jackbox Party Pack 12. It’s arriving on every modern platform on October 15, and, as we reported a few months ago, it’ll have a usual assortment of games that’ll be well-suited for living room and online competitors.

The surprising news, however, is that Trivia Murder Party 3 is arriving on PC in less than a month, on September 17th. It’ll be getting released on other platforms next year, but if you want to race out of a mansion while solving trivia and leaving your friends today, then good news: you’ll be able to in just a few weeks.

In the meantime, you can check out the trailers for both games below!

Shindig experts Jackbox Games today announced that they’re bringing not just one, but TWO soon-to-be party classics into the world later this year – including the next entry in the acclaimed The Jackbox Party Pack series that’s been hailed as the life of the party for more than a decade.

Trivia Murder Party 3

The standalone sequel to The Jackbox Party Pack favorite will launch on PC via Steam and Epic Early Access Sept. 17, ahead of a 1.0 release on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 next year: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3048060/Trivia_Murder_Party_3/

Trivia Murder Party 3’s release date reveal was accompanied by a brand-new trailer showcasing not just the trivia, but the MURDER that awaits you in this standalone, brand-new entry in the enduring hit series: https://youtu.be/LoTQUuzjKEY

What’s a summer camp without a little bit of danger? Join your fellow Camp Mass Acres campers in a summer you’ll never forget. Trivia Murder Party 3 is filled with trivia with a dangerous twist, online multiplayer for the first time (allowing for solo play), local play, a host of new mini-games and some very fashionable accessories. Why not put on a bucket hat before your untimely demise? Answering trivia about Las Vegas casino bathrooms is a matter of life and death, obviously.

The Jackbox Party Pack 12

Meanwhile, the newest entry in the smash-hit Party Pack series, The Jackbox Party Pack 12, is launching Oct. 15 across PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, Apple TV, iPad and the Mac App Store: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4199960/The_Jackbox_Party_Pack_12

The Jackbox Party Pack 12’s release date reveal is accompanied by a brand-new cinematic trailer showcasing the collection’s five completely original, never-before-seen games. The Jackbox Party Pack 12 continues the worldwide phenomenon series that’s accumulated over 826 million games started since December 2022: https://youtu.be/PV34HVunNlk

Whether you’re creating your own greeting cards, yelling trivia at your friends with a shocking amount of urgency, debating the most important topics of our generation (pineapple DOESN’T belong on pizza, for example) or testing just how in-sync you really are with your besties, there’s never a dull moment in The Jackbox Party Pack 12.

This double feature lineup is perfect for bringing everyone together for lighthearted, approachable-to-all bouts of creativity and fun, whether you’re planning your next at-home game night or looking for icebreakers to play with future best friends. Even better, both Trivia Murder Party 3 and The Jackbox Party Pack 12 continue Jackbox’s innovative tradition of allowing everyone to play each game using their smartphone as a controller, offering a cost-effective way to keep your whole group entertained.

Trivia Murder Party 3 and The Jackbox Party Pack 12 will deliver quirky, laugh-out-loud fun on Sept. 17 and Oct. 15 respectively. Learn more at the Jackbox Games website: https://www.jackboxgames.com.
