Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game releases worldwide as the franchise heads to San Diego Comic Con

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (as opposed to Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game) is finally out of its icy prison and is looking to bring balance to the Fighting Games Community. The game at the current time is sitting at a “generally favorable” status on the review aggregator site Metacritic and I’m sure as more players get their hands on the title, surely its reputation will continue to grow.

So in order to celebrate the launch and have more people try the title, the game will be hopping on their flying bison and heading down to San Diego Comic Con to participate in several activities which will let people try or learn more about the title.

Off Show Floor events

  • IGN Gaming Lounge (Pacific Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina)
Try the game at one of twenty five demo stations and if you’re feeling good about your skills, participate in daily tournaments. Even if you don’t stand in the winner’s circle you won’t leave empty handed as there will be giveaways at this location.
  • The Paramount+ Lodge (Happy Does – 340 Fifth Ave., San Diego, CA 92101)
The streaming service will feature activities from some of the properties which it hosts and that includes the Avatar franchise. An Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game arcade cabinet will be present if you want to pretend this game was released during the heyday of arcades.

On Show Floor events

  • Nickelodeon Booth (booth #4113)
Fans of artist Bosslogic should swing by the booth to purchase several limited edition prints created by the aussie digital artist to commemorate the launch of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. A preview of the prints can be found on the artist’s Instagram and each print will cost $85.
  • Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender Panel
Unfortunately as of the time of reporting, this panel has already concluded, but out of this panel we did learn that Tagah from the Paramount+ film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender will be coming to the game for free later this year. The question is will this other Airbender be voiced by Dave Bautista in-game?

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is now available across the four nations and more on PC, Switch and PlayStation 5. A Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 versions will be released on a later date.
