One of the bigger Summer Game Fest 2026 surprises from Capcom was the announcement of Resident Evil Veronica, which is a modern remake of the Claire Redfield-focused Resident Evil spinoff, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, that was first released for the Dreamcast back in 2000.
Resident Evil Veronica is headed to consoles and the PC in 2027 and is being built in Capcom’s very flexible, modern RE Engine with all the expected bells and whistles.
