Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 details have dropped

It’s about that time Call of Duty fans, Activision has officially revealed the next big Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (obviously).

In development for the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and the Nintendo Switch 2 and scheduled to deploy on October 23rd, 2026, the next iteration is apparently putting extra work and “renewed focus on PC players”, so that’s great to hear if that’s your platform of choice.  The game will take players over to the Korean Peninsula via a North Korean invasion campaign, though the experience will take operators around the globe from North America to Paris to Mumbai.

Multiplayer and DMZ details dropped too, along with the reveal trailer and a plethora of screens too.

See everything below and also at the the official Call of Duty blog.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | Reveal Trailer

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 screens:

Happy official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveal day! Developed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare 4 is set in a rapidly escalating global conflict centered on the Korean Peninsula. Players will fight as Private Park, a young South Korean soldier thrust into a full-scale North Korean invasion, while beyond the front lines, operator turned outlaw Captain Price, works outside the system he once served in pursuit of a weapon that threatens to pull the world into catastrophe. The Campaign takes players around the world, from close-quarters combat in New York, thrilling car chases through Paris, to SAS night raids in Mumbai, and of course into trench warfare in Korea.

Multiplayer delivers grounded, precise combat, built around fluid movement that provides greater control than ever before. Multiplayer introduces Ballistic Authority, a new weapons-first innovation that brings the most authentic Modern Warfare gunplay yet. Modern Warfare 4 will launch with 12 Core maps, spanning visually distinct locations around the world, plus Kill Block, a new and dynamic battleground that reconfigures its layout between rounds across more than 500 configurations.

DMZ returns as the definitive Call of Duty extraction experience, dropping solo players and squads into a shifting combat zone where every deployment plays out differently. Additional details for DMZ will drop on June 7.

Modern Warfare 4 is built with a renewed focus on PC players, with Infinity Ward and Beenox partnering to give more control over performance, visual fidelity, responsiveness, and customization on PC. Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026 on XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and for the first time, Nintendo Switch 2.

Full Modern Warfare 4 reveal intel is available at the Call of Duty blog. Details on Modern Warfare 4 pre-order offerings are located here, and check out the Forward Operating blog here.
