Get a peek of what you should expect in Invincible VS’ Story Mode in this latest trailer

We’re less than seven days away from when Invincible fans can build their own team of super heroes to take on the world. However when you’re not climbing the leaderboards and raising your rank, Invincible VS offers a Story Mode which can actually fit into the timeline of the animated series which airs on Prime Video.
Situated towards the end of the third season of the animated series, Invincible and their friends find themselves in an unknown place and of course the only way to get back home is to fight!

The game’s story mode is being crafted by Helen Leigh (writer and co-executive producer, Invincible), Mike Rogers (Narrative Director, Invincible VS) and features contributions from series co-creator Robert Kirkman. The mode will also feature cutscenes created by Skybound Animation with voice work from actors from the series as well as veteran voice actors.

Invincible VS will invade the PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on April 30th, 2026.

Invincible VS – Story Mode screens:

Season 4 of Invincible may have just wrapped, but Invincible VS brings a new story into the fight!

Next week, 3v3 tag fighter Invincible VS, from Skybound Entertainment’s first in-house game development studio, Quarter Up, launches with a Story Mode that acts as a bonus, playable episode of the Skybound & Prime Video animated series set between later episodes of Season 3. Designed to match the length and quality of a full Invincible episode, players will have the chance to dive deeper into the entire character roster, and completing the Story Mode will reward them with a variety of exclusive content to expand their play experience.

The Invincible VS Story Mode is written by Helen Leigh (writer and co-executive producer, Invincible) and Mike Rogers (Narrative Director, Invincible VS) in collaboration with Robert Kirkman (co-creator, Invincible), and produced by Skybound Animation, alongside Emmy award-winning Cinematics Supervising Director Seung Eun Kim (Arcane, The Batman). It delivers sharp dialogue and brutal battles across an 18-character roster, including fan favorites like Mark Grayson, Omni-Man, Rex Splode, and Atom Eve.

Notably, Invincible VS’s Story Mode brings back many of the original voice actors from the show, including J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode, Michael Dorn as Battle Beast, Jay Pharoah as Bulletproof, Grey DeLisle as Thula, Phil LaMarr as Lucan, Ross Marquand as Robot, Melise as Dupli-Kate, Shantel VanSanten as Anissa and Todd Williams as Titan. Players will also recognize voices new to the Invincible franchise, including Aleks Le (Street Fighter, Marvel Rivals) as Mark Grayson/Invincible, Gavin Hammon (The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series, The Wolf Among Us) as Cecil Stedman, as well as musical powerhouse Tierra Whack, who voices Invincible VS’s original character, Ella Mental – soon receiving her own origin story by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker in the Capes comic books, beginning with issue #7 out May 27.

Invincible VS is the first major game to bring the Invincible universe to life, drawing from the acclaimed comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. Built from the ground up, the game features beloved characters, iconic locations and devastating combos in a brutal, tournament-caliber tag-team fighting experience that reflects Quarter Up’s commitment to hard-hitting combat and deep respect for the source material.

The Invincible  comic book series ran for fifteen years across a historic 146  issues. Since 2021,  Invincible  has aired as a critically acclaimed adult animated television series and taken on a new life with fans globally, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.  The 100% Rotten Tomatoes-scored Season 4 aired its season finale  on Prime Video yesterday,  just a week prior to Invincible VS’s launch.

Fans can tune in to the official Xbox Podcast here for more details on Story Mode with Invincible VS’s Executive Producer, Mike Willette and host Jeff Rubenstein.

Invincible VS will launch on April 30, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
