Get a look at some weird new media for the upcoming action-horror title Slitterhead

One of the creepiest and more unique titles that was revealed during the various summer gaming events was most certainly Bokeh Game Studio’s Slitterhead.  Most recently it was announced that the action-horror game would be seen behind closed doors at Gamescom and will then be available as a public playable demo at the upcoming PAX West event later this month. So if you’re attending either, make sure to stop by at the appropriate booths.

To keep the hype train rolling they dropped off a fresh “mysterious” image of a masked character with plenty of weird vibes to decipher. If you missed the gameplay trailer reveal, definitely check that out below as well.

For those into picking up a physical PS5 Day 1 Edition (available for pre-order here), that will set you back just $10 more than the standard edition, and include a few bonus items such as a soundtrack CD, art book and sticker sheet — as seen in this product shot.

Slitterhead is coming to PlayStation and Xbox platforms as well as the PC on November 8th, 2024.

Slitterhead – Gameplay Trailer – SGF 2024:

Bokeh Game Studio, founded by legendary developer Keiichiro Toyama in 2020, today revealed a mysterious new image for their upcoming action-horror title, Slitterhead, scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on Nov. 8, 2024. The developer also announced that they will be showcasing Slitterhead behind closed doors at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 21-25, and will have a playable public demo available at PAX West in Seattle, Washington, from Aug. 29 – Sept. 2.

I must eliminate them…ALL… Set in the densely cluttered streets of Kowlong, filled with obscurity and chaos, this battle action-adventure game casts players as the “Hyoki,” an entity devoid of memory and physical form. His only motive is to eradicate the monstrous beings known as “Slitterheads” crawling around the city, disguising themselves as humans. Roaming the vibrant neon-lit cityscape, Hyoki must seek out allies among humans known as “Rarities,” infiltrate and track dangerous organizations, and engage in battles harnessing the power of blood. As the suspenseful drama unfolds, delve into the mystery behind Hyoki’s existence and the appearance of the Slitterheads.

Developed and published digitally on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 by Bokeh Game Studio, Slitterhead will be released on Nov. 8. The title will be available digitally for $49.99, and features feature a physical PS5 Day 1 Edition in North America distributed by XSEED Games with a MSRP of $59.99, including a physical copy of the game, a CD of original songs from the game composed by Akira Yamaoka, an artbook with over 100 pages filled with gruesome details, and a sticker sheet, all housed within a custom outer box. This title has been rated M for “Mature” by the ESRB.
