Stay tuned… Tekken 8 has been revealed

The 8th installment of The King of Iron Fist Tournament, a.k.a. Tekken 8, has finally, officially been revealed during the PlayStation State of Play event which took place this evening.

Created from the ground up for next generation of consoles and the PC utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the next big Tekken title is most definitely a looker… and it needs to be to take on Capcom’s Street Fighter 6, but that’s a fight for another time.

Either way, Tekken 8 is looking as dramatic as ever with Jin Kazama taking on his dad Kazuya Mishima as can be seen in the reveal trailer below. There’s no release date as of yet, but Bandai Namco claims that Tekken 8 will be one of the most immersive and engaging fighting games out there… so we’re excited for it.

Leading video game publisher and developer Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today announced TEKKEN 8, the new entry in the legendary TEKKEN franchise. TEKKEN 8 brings the fight to the next generation, using Unreal Engine 5 and coming exclusively to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 pushes the envelope for fighting games and takes full advantage of the power of the latest generation of consoles by creating one of the most visually stunning and immersive titles in the genre yet. TEKKEN 8 picks up after the gruesome battle that ended in Heihachi Mishima?s defeat, focusing on a new rivalry pitting father against son as Jin Kazama stands in defiance against Kazuya Mishima?s quest for world dominance.
