2021 The Game Awards Nominees revealed

After the family has left and the leftover turkey is completely consumed, it?s then time for the season where we wait for the friendly man from up north to bring joy to all the boys and girls! Santa?…no, I?m talking about Geoff Keighley! The Game Awards is set to give gamers a glimpse of the gaming future with a myriad of world premiere trailers, but in between all the fun, I guess they?re gonna be giving out awards or something?

Well yesterday the organizers revealed the categories and nominees. Microsoft and Bethesda lead the pack with 20 nominations, followed by Sony with 11. Game of the Year will truly be one to watch as it features representation from the 3 big publishers (Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft), with a very surprising appearance from It Takes Two from Hazelight Studios home of one, Josef Fares.

Unlike those hoity toity award shows that require you to be part of some academy, The Game Awards will be decided by the people, as voting will take place on www.thegameawards.com and Chinese gamers can vote on Bilibili. We’ll find out who wins what when The Game Awards airs on December 9th, 2021.
