Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Founder’s Edition week 2 content now available

We’ve enjoyed our first week with EA and PopCap’s unique Plants vs. Zombies early access-style release of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville thus far, so we’re excited to get our hands the second week of new content.

Week 2, which is available beginning today on all platforms, will feature the Weirding Woods region with a zombie-based operation and the classic Team Vanquish multiplayer mode. Those that login also get a cosmetic reward, the Ultimate Champ Star costume for All-Star Zombie.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Founder’s Edition week 2:

Today as part of Week 2 of the Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Founder?s Edition calendar, players will be able to venture through the wacky wilderness of the Weirding Woods region for a zombie-based operation. Zombies are trapped in the old Z-Tech Factory by invasive plant, Dreadwood, and it?s time to check out the lingering aroma coming from within. The classic Team Vanquish multiplayer mode is also available so plants and zombie factions can battle each other in the familiar plant-on-zombie competition for battlefield supremacy across six motley maps.

Additionally, Founding Neighbors who log in by next Monday, September 16 will exclusively receive the wrathful wrestling Ultimate Champ Star costume for All-Star Zombie by redeeming it in-game.

As a reminder, last week we digitally released Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Founder?s Edition for PS4, Xbox One and PC for fans to become a Founding Neighbor and experience new parts of the game each week for six weeks in the run up to global launch on October 18. Since then, players have explored this latest tension across the terra within Neighborville?s Town Center region for plant-based missions ? either solo or with friends over split-screen (PS4/XB1) and online co-op. In fact, 1 in 4 players have used split-screen in the free-roam region! Thousands of thrilling multiplayer matches also took place in the objective-based Turf Takeover multiplayer mode as plants and zombie teams completed objectives over numerous expanding maps.

Fans can still purchase and download the Founder?s Edition at the special Founder?s price of $29.99 until September 30 compared to the Standard Edition price of $39.99 at launch. Founding Neighbors will continue to receive exclusive cosmetic rewards until then and all game progression will carry over to the full Standard Edition, which they receive at no additional cost, when it launches on October 18. The Founder?s Edition is also included with Origin Access Premier.
