Destiny 2: Shadowkeep takes us back to the moon on September 17th, 2019

It wouldn’t be a proper September if we didn’t get a new Destiny release/expansion, so as the leaks and teases have already accurately predicted, Bungie has made their big official announcement. We’ve been looking forward to heading back to the moon, and that’s where Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be set. Oh, and the mysterious Eris Morn has finally returned.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will launch on September 17th, 2019 for consoles, PC and the Google Stadia, and it seems like it will be as content rich as Destiny 2: Forsaken with a new location, new gear/weapons, a new raid, new dungeon and activities/events split up among 4 seasons. And yes, there will be a fresh new Annual Pass which will work just like Forsaken’s. A pleasant surprise is that the game (Destiny 2 as a whole) will support full cross platform Cross-Save capabilities (that includes PS4 too, confirmed by Bungie), meaning no matter whichever platform you play on, players will retain their progress.

As for pricing, the standard version will set Guardians back $34.99 (with access to only the first season pass), the Digital Deluxe version (includes all 4 season passes) will cost $59.99 and of course include some bonus content too.  There’s the crazy Collector’s Edition for $149.99 too!

Also revealed was a free to download version of Destiny 2 named Destiny 2: New Light. It will feature mostly everything included in the base game, as described by Bungie, it will include “foundational modes, activities, and rewards” when it launches alongside Shadowkeep. Check out the official site for New Light, here.

The Next Chapter for Destiny 2:

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep screens:

As the heroes of the last safe city turned their attention to frontiers beyond the protection of the Vanguard, new Nightmares have emerged from the shadows of our long-forgotten Moon.

Called forth by the haunting visions from her tormented past, Eris Morn has returned and unleashed something that once slumbered beneath the lunar surface ? a long dormant power even she cannot control.

Return to the Moon. Journey deep into a mysterious enemy citadel. Help Eris slay these nightmares before they reach out beyond the Moon to cast humanity back into an age of darkness.
