Metroid Prime 4 gets a delay and a development reboot

In a pretty unexpected move from Nintendo, development of Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch has essentially been scrapped and started over with Retro Studios taking on the huge responsibility.

Considering that Retro was the original developers of the Metroid Prime series, that’s certainly not a bad idea on paper.  Losing 2 years of development on a high profile title is fairly uncommon, but it sounds as if it was for the best.

See a little video message from Nintendo apologizing for the delay below.

Development Update on Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch:

Stay tuned for some good new regarding Metroid Prime 4 hopefully!
