Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of The Night & Rondo of Blood headed to PS4 next month

Perfectly timed to launch close to Halloween this year, Konami has announced that they will be releasing a bundle of the two best Castlevania titles ever for the PS4 on October 26th, 2018.

The titles, Castlevania: Symphony of The Night (originally for the PS One) and Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (originally for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16) will be visually enhanced, including 1080p/4K upscaling with high resolution backgrounds and different rendering options such as smoothing along with PlayStation Trophies and DualShock 4 vibration, analogue stick and speaker support.  The music will apparently be better than ever and remain intact, which is of course super important in both of these titles.

Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of The Night And Rondo of Blood will cost $19.99, with a 20% pre-order discount for PS Plus members and a 15% discount for non-members.

See the announcement trailer below and read on for the details.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced today that Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood will be arriving exclusively to the PlayStation Store on October 26, 2018. The collection brings the classic franchise to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system for the first time where fans can experience the saga of the whip-cracking, vampire hunting Belmont Clan.

Arriving the same day as the Season 2 release of the Netflix original, Castlevania, fans of the show will have an introduction to the acclaimed franchise that inspired the animated series. Fans of the game will relive the timeless classics like never before thanks to KONAMI?s partnership with SIE Worldwide Studios to create these high-quality ports. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its sequel, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, will be updated with modern game elements such as earning Trophies while keeping the fidelity of the musical score, boss battles and all the side-scrolling action that makes the Castlevania franchise an esteemed classic.

Originally released in 1993, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood features Richter Belmont, the iconic heir to the whip. Players will guide him in his pursuit to save his beloved Annette from the grasps of Dracula. Castlevania Symphony of the Night picks up several years after the events in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood where players are introduced to the transmorphic Alucard as he uncovers the truths about Richter?s whereabouts.

Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood will be available at SRP $19.99 USD. PlayStation Plus subscribers who pre-order now will save 20 percent off SRP. Non- PlayStation Plus subscribers who pre-order will receive 15 percent off retail SRP. Pre-order today at: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0101-CUSA13434_00-CASTLEVANIA00001
