Those who download the trial/demo get the full experience (limited to 1 hour of playtime) and progress will transfer over for those who purchase the full version. So… that’s definitely worth the effort for gamers who may be interested but still on the fence.

Ubisoft reveals South Park: The Fractured But Whole free trial on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system available now. Designed to allow interested players a chance to sample the fascinating and addicting world of South Park, the trial will feature no alterations to gameplay, with the exception of a one hour playtime restriction. Upon completion, players will be given the option to purchase the full game. All player progress will be saved and carried over should they decide to purchase the full game.
