Panda and Kuma join the Tekken 7 roster

Tekken is not quite Tekken without the weird and wacky roster of characters including Kuma the bear and Panda the err.. panda.

So Bandai Namco today thankfully confirmed that both characters have made the cut and will be playable in Tekken 7 when it comes home to the PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017. We also get a nice selection of screens, confirmation of the online Online Tournament Mode and functionality, a fresh new trailer as you can see below.

Check out the latest King of the Iron Fist fun below.

Tekken 7 ? Kuma & Panda Reveal Trailer:

Tekken 7 ? Kuma & Panda screens:

The TEKKEN series is home to some of the most iconic fighting game characters in the genre and today?s featured characters are two of the most unique and loved characters from the TEKKEN world. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. is pleased to welcome both Kuma and Panda to their next battles in TEKKEN 7. For the uninitiated, Kuma serves as both pet and bodyguard for Heihachi Mishima and is trained in the Heihachi-style Kuma Shinken. Possessing great strength and intelligence, Kuma is a powerful foe to all that care to step in the ring to face his deadly claws and fearsome fangs.

Panda on the other hand takes a softer approach in her disposition. Introduced in TEKKEN 3 as Ling Xiaoyu?s pet and protector, Panda learned the same Heihachi-style Kuma Shinken style of fighting when she traveled to the Mishima Industrial College to train in martial art in preparation to participate in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. Finally a fun fact; it is well known that Kuma has a big crush on Panda, but unfortunately for Kuma? Panda has no interest in him.

We?re also sharing details about the new Online Tournament Mode that will be part of the TEKKEN 7 console experience. The TEKKEN 7 Online Tournament Mode will enable players to create and participate in their own online tournaments with up to eight competitors. Tournament organizers can select single or double elimination rules and set up passwords for secured tournament entry and spectating (Spectator Mode). Winners of online tournaments may win in-game items such as fight money and other items.
