NieR: Automata gets a 2017 release date, PS4 Black Box Collector’s Edition

Square Enix’s PlatinumGames-developed action RPG for the PS4 and PC finally has a release date: March 7th, 2017. For those still not sure what the fuss is all about, there will be a demo hitting the PS Store in the very near future apparently.

If gamers like what they play or see, they can opt to pick up the boring old Day One Edition, or the deluxe $190 Black Box Collector’s Edition, as seen in the beauty shots below.

At the PlayStation Experience this past weekend, SQUARE ENIX revealed that NieR: Automata will be released on March 7, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system. Developed in collaboration with PlatinumGames Inc., the exciting new action role-playing game centers around the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2, and their ferocious battle to reclaim a post-apocalyptic world abandoned by mankind and overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms.

Fans and newcomers alike are also invited to get their hands on the action-RPG in a newly announced consumer demo, coming soon to the PlayStation Network.
