Well, they are now playable on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility, which is pretty awesome. But wait, that’s not the big news. The big news is that Lost Odyssey will be 100% free to download for a limited time, on the Xbox 360 or Xbox One, from now through December 31st. That’s a pretty great perk to celebrate the first anniversary of the backwards compatibility feature on the Xbox One.

Originally released in 2008 for the Xbox 360 in North America, Lost Odyssey was developed by Mistwalker, a legendary game studio made up of many icons in gaming including the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi. Other talents who contributed to Lost Odyssey included the legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu and author Kiyoshi Shigematsu.
