Square Enix shows off Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration PS4 Pro tech video

With the PlayStation 4 Pro launch just a week away, publishers and developers are lining up to show off more of their visually enhanced game updates that will be ready to go on or around November 10th.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics today offered up a tech video for Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration that does a deep dive into the various visual and performance enhancements for the PS4 Pro. Watching the compressed video isn’t quite the same as witnessing the results in person on a 4K HDR-enabled display, so you may have to use your imagination somewhat.

Crystal Dynamics Chief Technology Officer Gary Snethen details how Crystal Dynamics and Nixxes Software have enhanced Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for the PlayStation 4 Pro. Additions include three unique visual modes ? 4K Resolution, High Frame Rate, and Enriched Visuals ? alongside other enhancements such as hardware tessellation, anisotropic filtering, additional dynamic foliage, and more.
