Pok?mon Sun and Moon are Nintendo’s most pre-ordered games ever

Who woulda thunk? Thanks in part to the sudden surge in Pok?mon popularity (Pok?larity?) — no doubt tied to Pok?mon Go to an extent — Nintendo’s pair of upcoming 3DS releases are smashing pre-sale records.

Pok?mon Sun and Pok?mon Moon, we assume combined, are “officially the best pre-selling games in Nintendo history”.  Also, the special eShop demo is the most downloaded 3DS demo on the eShop as well.

Pre-order a copy right here if you haven’t already, and read on for the announcement.

Today, Nintendo announced that Pok?mon Sun and Pok?mon Moon are officially the best pre-selling games in Nintendo history. Additionally, the Pok?mon Sun and Pok?mon Moon Special Demo Version is the most downloaded demo on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Nintendo History!

With the launch of the first Pok?mon video games 20 years ago, the Pok?mon brand quickly became a global sensation and hasn’t left popular culture since. The Pok?mon brand’s 20-year celebration in 2016 has ignited fans’ passion for the beloved franchise across the country and around the world with a wide variety of initiatives and new launches. As part of this banner year for the iconic franchise, video game players are no doubt anticipating the launch of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS games, Pok?mon Sun andPok?mon Moon, on November 18.
