Sony Corporation of America has opened a new PlayStation VR-themed installation at Sony Square NYC, located at 25 Madison Avenue in New York City. The exhibit, which will be on display through October 21, offers visitors the opportunity to dive into the world of virtual reality through PlayStation VR, which will officially launch for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) system on October 13.
Throughout the space, there will be five PlayStation VR kiosks where visitors can try different VR experiences, including:
Farpoint
Developed exclusively for play in PlayStation VR, Farpoint is an unnerving space adventure set on a hostile alien world. After crash landing you have to fight to survive as you explore and uncover the planet’s secrets. Your only hope of escape is to keep moving and discover the fate of your team.VR Worlds
VR Worlds is a collection of five different VR experiences that have all been built from the ground up exclusively for the PS VR headset. In PlayStation VR Worlds you will be treated to incredible visuals as you dive beneath the waves, tackle 360 combat as you fight off alien hordes from all around you, or end up in a face-to-face interrogation with a deranged and furious mobster. All brought to you with the immersion that makes VR so unique“The PlayStation VR experience at Sony Square NYC serves as a great example of our commitment to offer visitors the opportunity to interact with the curated selection of Sony’s groundbreaking entertainment and technologies,” said Steven Fuld, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Sony Corporation of America.
