Sony today announced that HBO and Cinemax are now available as part of their PlayStation Vue streaming TV service. Users who want access to the new premium channels can jump into the new Ultra plan tier at $64.99 or $74.99 a month, or $15 each per month.
The company also announced that HBO Now video streaming app will be rolling out onto the PS3 and PS4 today as well.

HBO and Cinemax are launching today on PlayStation Vue, the pioneering Internet-based live TV service from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Consumers will also have a new option with the introduction of a new PlayStation Vue plan offering, “Ultra,” which includes HBO, SHOWTIME and more than 100 top sports, movie, and TV channels for $64.99 per month ($74.99 in cities with most major live local broadcast stations*). Additionally, HBO NOW, the standalone streaming service, launches today on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 3 (PS3) systems for new and existing users.
HBO joins PlayStation Vue just ahead of the highly anticipated series premiere of the sci-fi drama, Westworld, airing on October 2. Users who sign up for HBO via PlayStation Vue can also watch critically acclaimed shows including Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley, live and on-demand on PlayStation Vue. With PlayStation Vue’s unmatched cloud DVR, users can record hundreds of shows at once with conflict-free recording.
With an Internet connection and a PlayStation Vue TV-connected device, there are no additional fees, such as monthly set-top box fees, or long term contracts. Below is a list of plans available on PlayStation Vue.

HBO and Cinemax are also available through PlayStation Vue as standalone channel offerings for $15 each per month. The launch of HBO and Cinemax on PlayStation Vue marks the first time that either network’s live programming is available as a standalone offering without a bundle subscription. PlayStation Vue users with an active HBO subscription can also access programming from HBO NOW at no additional cost by linking their PlayStation Network email and password.
Available nationwide, PlayStation Vue is accessible through popular TV-connected devices such as PS4 and Roku, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.
