We’re not quite sure why game “demos” have been replaced with “betas”, but if it means we can still get our hands on games like Mirror’s Edge Catalyst a bit earlier than launch day, then we’re not complaining.
In this case, the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta will offer not only some story and side missions to check out, but also optional content and “Social Play” features which are highlighted in the new Dev Diary below.
The frontrunner beta registration has ended, but EA has yet to send out confirmation to those who have been selected… so be patient and make sure to keep an eye on your inbox for confirmation (or not). The MIrror’s Edge Catalyst closed beta will run from April 22nd to April 26th.
