Rez Infinite coming to PS4, PlayStation VR

If being over-the-top excited for another release of Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s Rez is wrong, then we definitely don’t want to be right. From the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, to the XBLA Xbox 360 remake, it’s a game that has withstood the test of time.

We assumed that Rez was kinda dead in the water until today, when on stage during PSX, Sony reps revealed an enhanced PS4, PlayStation VR-compatible version of Rez titled Rez Infinite.  It was confirmed that the remastered game will run at 1080p and 60fps (120fps for PS VR) with 7.1 audio (3D audio for PS VR).

We can only imagine the synesthesia effect that playing the game with a VR headset will be like, but that’s exactly what we’ll be able to experience in the hopefully not too distant future.

The game will be playable as a non VR PS4 title as well, which we’re also certainly hyped for.

Take a look at some screens and a video of the PS4 game in action. Stop by the PlayStation Blog for the details.
