Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor will fight to be UFC 2’s co-cover athlete

ufc_2_logo_1Remember when EA proudly revealed that Ronda Rousey would be one of the UFC 2 cover-athletes… and then she lost a couple of days later? Yeah, that sucked.

Anyway, EA Sports today announced that Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will be duking it in UFC 194 for the featherweight championship, to not only take home the win, but to also secure a spot alongside Ronda as UFC 2’s co-cover athlete. With both potential cover-athletes taking on each other, maybe the “EA Sports/Madden curse” cancels itself out… right?

Electronic Arts Inc. today announced UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor, will Fight for the Cover to join EA SPORTS UFC 2 cover athlete, ?Rowdy? Ronda Rousey. For the first time in EA SPORTS history, the winner of a real-world sporting event will get the opportunity to be included on a game?s cover. The cover will be revealed immediately after the undisputed world featherweight championship at UFC 194: ALDO vs. McGREGOR on Saturday, December 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.*
