Street Fighter V beta shuts down for “extended maintenance”

SFV-05SFV-05Were you were primed and ready to help beta test Street Fighter V on the PS4 last night? We definitely were, and probably like all of you out there, we never even made it past the title screen.

Well after all that excitement for the July 23rd – 28th closed beta period, it looks like Capcom is shutting it down for “extended maintenance” in order to take care of the ongoing connection issues. This is a beta test after all, so it’s definitely to be expected. The company will let fans know when the beta will resume, and we assume, the period will be extended in one way or another.

Check out Capcom’s note to the beta testers below.

We apologize for the ongoing issues that users have been experiencing with the SFV beta test. In order to allow us to fix the issues as quickly as possible, we are going to initiate a period of extended maintenance, during which time the beta will be unavailable to all users. We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open once all problems have been fixed. We sincerely apologize for having to bring this unfortunate news to you. Thank you for your patience. Please stay tuned for further updates.
