The free-to-play MMOFPS, which does not require a PS Plus or game subscription whatsoever, features large online battles, vehicles, and hopefully a dedicated community. Like all F2P games, there will be optional in-game purchases and a monthly membership available which can provide players with advantages such as increased cash, experience and upgrades.

Daybreak Game Company LLC today announced that the critically-acclaimed massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS), PlanetSide 2 will be available on the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on June 23, 2015.
The MMOFPS, which began Closed Beta testing in January 2015, will be available on the PS4 as a free-to-play downloadable title with no PlayStation Plus membership requirement. Already available on the PC, PlanetSide 2 will be the only PlayStation 4 game that allows massive communities of players to come together to simultaneously experience enormous battles, giving players a truly massive-world combat experience.
