Kingdom Hearts Unchained x announced for mobile devices

Another Kingdom Hearts related announcement today was the unveiling of a new KH title for iOS and Android devices, called Kingdom Hearts Unchained x (meant to pronounce “key” according to the press release). This will be a free-to-play title with in-app purchases, but boy oh boy does that art design remind me heavily of the Theatrhythm style.

Also, considering how much I’m currently enjoying Final Fantasy: Record Keeper, being a F2P game with IAP hooks isn’t quite the turn-off for me that it used to be. Here’s hoping we learn more about this title in the near future. In the meantime, check out the press release below, along with the trailer and a few screens.

In KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained ?, players will uncover story elements from the earliest parts of the series? history, as well as from the highly-anticipated, upcoming KINGDOM HEARTS III.
