Compatible with the PS3, PSP, or PS Vita, and only costing about $6, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, which is a spinoff of Mega Man Legends of sorts, regularly fetches upwards of $100 on eBay. Apparently the game never made it over here digitally due to some long-standing licensing issues, but it looks like those have been cleared up.
Head on over to the PlayStation Store right here to get a copy of your own.

Something very special has happened today, guys, and I hope you?ll join me in celebrating. The long-thought-not-likely-to-happen release of PlayStation sleeper-charmer The Misadventures of Tron Bonne as a PSN PSone Classic has in fact happened! Pick it up on the North American PSN Store today and play it on your PS3, PSP, or PS Vita.
To give a little background, TMOTB first hit North American store shelves in 2000 with a limited run, quickly becoming a rarity and skyrocketing in value. A quick eBay search yesterday yielded several incomplete copies of the game going for more than $100. A sealed copy can go for more than $400. I know there are lot of people?even Mega Man Legends fans?who missed this one when it released UGGGHHH FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, so it?s totally awesome that you can now pick it up for six bucks and even play it on the go. That?s what these rereleases are all about!
For the completely uninitiated, TMOTB is sort of a spin-off of a spin-off, building on the charming world, aesthetic, and characters of the Mega Man Legends games from a new angle: leaving MegaMan Volnutt and the Caskett brigade on the sidelines, the game focuses instead on the travails of beloved anti-heroine and ?air pirate? extraordinaire Tron Bonne, who must take on a variety of missions to earn money to pay off her brother?s astronomical debt.
Gameplay is divided into several diverse mini-campaigns, each with completely different mechanics?some RPG-inspired, some adventure-inspired, some puzzular, and some very akin to the explosive action of the mainline Mega Man Legends games. All of this is tied together via a delightful central hub?the Gesellschaft airship (ironically the cause of the Bonnes? debt in the first place)?where Tron can chat with, train, and recruit her lovable, motley army of Servbots. Servbot management is a highly addictive element that takes a cue or two from Japan?s well-established sports management genre and truly sets this game apart as a unique classic.
Given this game?s quality and rarity, I personally feel like this may be the most deserved classic rerelease out there, so I really hope people pick it up, enjoy it, and spread the word.
