We’re sure that packing in the playable Final Fantasy XV demo for a limited time (which is still available apparently) didn’t hurt, but still, for a remake of a spin off, 1 million shipped to retail isn’t bad at all.

Following its release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last month,Square Enix Inc. today announced that FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD has shipped over one million copies worldwide since its launch.
FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD launched in North America on March 17, 2015, with Day One units including an exclusive demo of the highly anticipated FINAL FANTASY XV game titled FINAL FANTASY XV ?EPISODE DUSCAE?.
After welcoming players to share their feedback and experiences with the FINAL FANTASY XV ?EPISODE DUSCAE? demo through a recent survey, SQUARE ENIX also announced a player feedback special of its Active Time Report with Director Hajime Tabata. The broadcast will take place at 11:00 p.m. (PDT) on April 27th, with Tabata discussing some of the feedback and opinions submitted by players, as well as detailing some of the ways the development team plans to address them.
